I've had to buy them in the past, and I can never seem to find fresh ones.

But this month Brach's has an Easter version called 'Chicks & Rabbits' that will be fresh for the next few weeks. *At least as 'fresh' as these thingies ever get...

No 'Art Every Day' this week.
Lazy? Yes, but that's beside the point.
Its because I managed to slice my hand open.

So, until I'm back in the grove,
have a look at the 'SLICE IT' phone app.



My fav app is still 'Trism', but this one isn't bad.
And its easy to do, even with a damaged digit.

(btw, Do they make 'Scribblenauts' for the iPhone?...
because that one can drive ('draw'?) you 'nauts'.)

...we'll move on to two llamas,
both of whom have hats, but only one of whom is nice.

Well, this other llama is, um, 'not-so nice'.

The Met Next Door

My local cinema is turning into Lincoln Center today, courtesy of a digital-streaming simulcast from The Met. Its a cool use of this new technology; now everyone can see their favorite big shows on a big screen.

But I think I'll pass on this particular one.

The music will be memorable I'm sure, but the plot?... well, just in case you don't know it:

'Carmen', the opera, (in 50 words)

Trashy hot cigarette gal entices soldier boy.
She flees justice, he takes the rap, sings.

She feels guilty, sings, thinks she loves him.
He's released; they 'smuggle' away together.

She tires of him, picks bullfighter instead.
boy: "If I can't have her no one will..!"
(big song) Stabbity-stabbity-stab. (the end)

Not exactly a PC tale for today.

Maybe we'd prefer Tom & Jerry's version:
