Lie To Me Today

Giving this new 'Lie To Me' show a test-run.
Jennifer Beals guest-stars as 'Zoe Landau', assistant U.S. attorney and the ex-wife of Dr. Cal (Tim Roth) the world's leading deception expert who studies involuntary body language to discover not only if someone is lying, but why.
Hm. JB is 5'11" in heels, and Roth is 5' 7".
This being American 'heightist' tv, want to bet they won't stand them side-by-side much?

{1 min} 'Lie to Me' airs Wed at 8 pm ET on Fox.
* I'm catching earlier eps on: FOX online TV.

House Payment

Jennifer Beals once said she took some acting jobs 'to pay the mortgage'. Well, this post-apocalyptic movie where she plays a mom who's btw also a blind sex-slave?... smells like another 'house payment' movie to me. But then again, the script can't be worse than her last one, Sunday's TLW finale, can it?

Wait, maybe it could be worse. The script was by a rookie, who reviews video games & comics for a living. It got greenlit just because comic book movies are 'in' right now.

The rewrite? By A.Peckham, who's never had a successful film.
The directors? Have a rep for lousy female roles, ala 'American Pimp'
The premiere? Jan 2010, a January release = no faith in the movie
The verdict?... Only Denzel as the lead gives it a chance.

Slightly Spoiled

*Yes, I modified the photo to fit... my view of the show

Let us recap the S6 spoilers so far:

Kit will have that Prison Break guy swooning in drag.
Molly, Phyllis, and Jodi will appear in two eps each.
Eliz Berkley (boo!) and Alex Hedison (yeah!) will appear.
Papi returns from limbo, Lenore (Alice's Mom) does not.

Plus an 'online spin-off' starring an unknown cast mem?
Color me underwhelmed...

Who's got a babybump?...

*using bad 'shop to scare TWoPers since early '08

Mitchellplus reported back from the L convention that 'Helena' Rachel Shelley said that LuH was not pregnant... but nobody asked about JB. Perhaps they should have... but tis just a rumor so far.
So follow the Hitchhikers advice: 'Don't Panic'!

JB and AH go 'V'!

The Vagina Monologues took a road trip to New Orleans and some of TLW stars took part.

Since I know how annoying it is to try to locate an older post a few days past on TWoP... here're a few links to make it easier to find these again later. Thanks guys!

Jenny & Niki in 510

the tent scene
*fyi: link below is R-rated material
{video}

This extended 'love scene' actually reminded me of Alfred Hitchcock.

He was once told he couldn't do a five minute love scene, that it would be 'too long' and he couldn't get away with it - audiences would find it too lengthy and squirm in their seats. Plus the studio execs and the 'standards board' would never go for it, etc.
His reply? 'I can if there's a bomb under the bed.'

That's exactly what this does... we've got the menace of Adele sitting in wait, plus everyone can guess that the camera = trouble.

So even people who don't find the scene hot still stay interested.

Speaking of unexpected videos, here's another:
