Creature Comforts

Freaky finds for the family.

For your infant, the Zombie Devil Duckie:

Qua-Ack !

For bigger kids, A Remote Control Zombie, seen here fighting his arch nemesis, the remote control empty pants:

{39 sec}

For adults that are that kind of 'adult'...

Roxxy the Sex Robot:
"Hey there (pause) Stud"
"Do you like Porsches?" (was that 'porches'?)
"Are you ready to give it to me (pause) Stud?"
"Ah (roboticly) thats nice"
"You have a nice weiner." (and so on....)
{5 min} As for me, I have no words re: this zombie date...

Finally, for the oldsters, a Robot Nurse...
...planned for euthanasia?

{2 min}

At least one of the above seems montrous to me.

So this post is part of ThemeThursdays 'Monster' day.

Twoddlers Twitter

TweedleDum and TweedleDee
can go high Twech

{20 sec}

Yes, you heard that right, a Belgian university group set up a toddler toy so every touch on its board sends a 'tweet' to the web. Are the Belgian taxpayers proud, or what?

Love that the newsies decided that Jr's tweets were:
'I miss you'...
....'I wanna play'...
...'I'm having a tantrum !'

Sales R Up

via a dollop of moral outrage Down Under.

-click- to New Zealand Herald storyYes, the tiny T's are a tad tacky. But the NZ concerned parents public outrage brought more attention to the shirts - just like an ad - so now they'll see even more of these...
"Mummy likes it on top"
"Wipe my butt sucker"
"So hot right now"
"I like big b00bs I cannot lie"
"I'm bringing sexy back"
"Practice safe sucks".
"The condom broke"
"Pardon my nipple breath"
"Living proof my mum is easy"
(Oops. Not quite what they intended...)

FYI: news.com.au is doing a poll about the shirts.

Another bit of outrage-eousness:

-click- for CBS news article, with unrevealing video
Scary sculpture or amazing art? The locals in Delray Beach have their own concerns about an art piece depicting an 'anatomically correct' family. Its been installed at a mall in full view of passersby:
"I think the male figure might be offensive to some..."

Linda A. said she purposely takes another route when walking with her 6-yr-old. "He's gonna have questions," and "I don't think he's ready for that."

18-yr-old Taylor E. was taken aback when she saw the frontal view. "From the other side, it's not so bad. But now that we see it from the front, maybe they could take this one out," she said referring to the father.

* click pic for the article, but of course there's no explicit photos, even in the video - nerdy newsies neutered the nudes, naturally. Nuts.

Just Park It

Garage getting too full?...

Can't squeeze in your car?...

Or you just want more space?...

Sit Elly, Sit !

Well, you won't exactly find any help here, because those images above are actually giant photos that are pasted on closed garage doors. So who knows what's actually inside?... but if it is an elephant don't you need a permit? And a pachyderm-scooper?

Daily Mail link has more pics.

*Their creator, Thomas Sassenbach, (at www.styleyourgarage.com) will customise any image on request.

Horny in New Orleans

click for {slow loading} article
Introducing the Big Easy Rollergirls. On Saturday they rolled through the streets of the French Quarter hitting people with foam bats.

The first year's festival... 250 people turned out. In 2008, the number grew to more than 600. This year, organizers are hoping for more than 1,000 runners, including out-of-towners... "They've been instructed to hit hard, " O'Donnell said. "Every year people complain that they weren't hit hard enough."

Watch and see New Orleans on the run!

Land of the Rising Scooter

Yes, there's a little scooter under there...
...somewhere. *

{article} 'These Japanese junior hotrods look like big cruiser motorbikes, but are often nothing more than Yamaha Majesty or Honda Fusion scooters with various aesthetic and vaguely functional bits thrown on...'

Love the fact that they're 'low-riders'...
Japan must also be the Land of No Potholes.

Elephant Buns

... race human 'hot dogs' to the finish.

3 human eating-champs: a pie guy, a hash guy, and a cranberry sauce(?) gal went all out ('all in?') in a hotdog bun contest.
They were smoked by 3 pack-it-in-derms. { article}

The elephants ate 505 hot dog buns in 6 min
The humans? Only 143 buns. Slackers.

''...elephants Bunny, Susie and Minnie - all in their 40s - ate at what appeared to be a leisurely pace from behind a table piled high with buns. They even paused to eat some bananas... 'which did not count towards scoring'

What really made me LOL? These are the same chowhound elephants that went on the lam in Toronto in search of snacks. Bunny & Susie's previous eating excursion took them to a grassy area and someone's front yard, leaving a trail of poo that was probably easy to follow... When the handlers were asked how to corral the escaped beasts?... they simply said 'Call them'. Sure enough, they came when called.

Wish I could get my old dog to do that.

License to Chill

click for orig London Paper pic
007, on ice. (click to see his, um, big one...)

LOL'd at a 'news report' about Daniel Craig, being voted Britain’s 'coolest' and having his sculpted torso recreated as a limited edition ice lolly as part Del Monte's 'Superfruit Smoothies' campaign. The article ends with these lines:
'...artists worked tirelessly to recreate a sculpture of 41-year-old Craig in the scene where he emerges from the sea in Casino Royale.'

'Do you fancy getting your lips around Bond?'

Oh my.
Should I mention he's pomegranate flavored?

Puts the Ick in Lick

Tired of good taste & nutrition?...

Its 'Jelly Belly' Pudding

*credit for pic from Mr. C's lol Grossery list - check it out.
click HERE for 'Popcorn' + 'Blueberry'
Inspired to research this after seeing it on Mr. C's site...

'Requires no refrigeration'. Hm. How would pudding made with actual milk & eggs look after months on a shelf?

Some brave souls (av club video) actually ate some:

Taste: Jelly Belly puddings ranged from ridiculously sweet to shockingly horrible. Is it any wonder that most of our Taste Testers had to hold their noses while consuming the popcorn pudding?...

...to make things more exciting, we mixed up a “suicide” of all flavors for IES DaveC. -Guess what?- The suicide actually tasted better than any of the individual flavors. And it was beautiful while mixing, though the final product looked poopy.
Isn't there a quote that goes something like:
'If it looks like poo, & tastes like sh!t, its probably...'

High Tidy Heels

imagine a beach full of pointy holes

High Tide Heels, by artist Paul Schietekat

''...they combine the elegance of stiletto heels with the swimming speed of flippers."

''They could provide a fashionable alternative for sun-seekers who don't want the hassle of changing footwear every time they cool off with dip in the sea.''
Imagine Posh Spice strolling sprawling along in these.

Alas, according to the Telegraph, there's 'no thought to be any plans to release them commercially'

California's 'In-n-Out' was the only 'chain' I noticed.
Chicago's 'Kuma's Corner' sounds more like Hawaii.
And NY's burger joint? Amazingly, "Burger Joint".

And for my Charm City pals - Baltimore's winner is:
Mother's Fed Hill Grille 'Heart Attack on a Plate'
Is it any good?

Hot Crispy Buns

Swedish boys do the Crisp Bread Dance...

...and its a recipe for success, yes?

Thanks to Mrs. C. for inspiring me to dig up this English-subtitled version, thus proving Sweden's Got Talent. Or at the very least, 'showmanship'. Here's hoping they bring home the dough. ;-)

How Tweet

pic credit: hotairballoon.us
* texts sent via Twitter are called 'tweets' ;-)

Just how 'tweet' are those Twitter-ers?

Tempted by this fad? Believe it or not, website tweetvalue.com will gauge the value of your Twitter account. I'm guessing its based on # of followers - so by that score I'm afraid Kathy Griffin is still a 'D-List' celebrity. Compare:
http://twitter.com/aplusk (Ashton) 600,000 followers
http://twitter.com/mrskutcher (Demi) 300,000 follow
http://twitter.com/marthastewart 250,000 followers
http://twitter.com/margaretcho 16,000 followers
http://twitter.com/kathygriffin 8000 followers
*If you're still considering it, also consider Twitturly.com, which tracks the most popular URLs (or Web links) being shared across Twitter, and Tweetdeck or Twhirl, both of which help you manage/organize your tweets. Good Luck.

p.s. 'Too old' to Tweet? Queen Elizabeth joined 2 weeks ago. Her account is still 'parked' but that hasn't detered the fakers:
http://twitter.com/qeII - fake Queen Elizabeth, 1 follower
http://twitter.com/QueenLizzzie - fake also, 262 followers
http://twitter.com/QueenLizII - fake again, 736 followers
not to mention...
http://twitter.com/PrinceCharles - 800 followers...?
